Recall process of Sen. Bukola Saraki is a test of popularity

A group known as Kwara Must Change has called on the senate president, Sen. Bukola Saraki to stop the excessive activities of his overzealous aids who has been threatening the members of the group over the announcement of the group to initiate a constitutional process of recall of the senate president.

The spokesperson of the group explained that the recall process is purposely to curtail the inadequate representation of Kwara State in the senate in which the president has already failed.

He explained that the threats against the members of the group is uncalled for as it only lend credibility to the course of the group and making it to gain more popularity among the citizens of Kwara state.

According to the group, a legislative aide of the Senate President, Mr. Olaitan Obalowu, has been issuing violent threats to its members which it stated that it is not constitutional. The group explained that the process will go on as announced and that there is nothing that will stop it since it is a process that is constitutional and has the backing of Kwara people.

The group calls on the entire citizens of Kwara State to troupe out in mass for the signing of the recalled process slated for 1st of August this year. It however warned the Senate President Bukola Saraki to please caution his overzealous aids to stop the threats as it will hold the senate president personally accountable should any of thing happens to its members

It will be recall that Kwara Must Change is a political youth movement which initiated an online debate titled Lack of visionary leadership, bane of kwara woe, a debate which has the several youths as commentators. The group has gain popularity in the recent times among the youths and other class of people in Kwara state over its political discussions.

Amidst the challenge and the threats of his recall, the Senate President has however continued to discharge its constitutional duties at the red chamber without fear as he recently welcome one of the new members of the senate, Sen. Ademola Adeleke to the red chamber.
